Rain_01_2016_03_2018.nc 4. Are there multiple versions of the dataset? No. METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION 1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: The ka-band documentation can be found at https://metek.de/product/mira-35c/#. The rain gauge specifications can be found at https://www.onsetcomp.com/files/manual_pdfs/10241-D-MAN-RG3.pdf 2. Methods for processing the data: Ka-band Z: Vertical reflectivity factor (Z) profiles from the Ka-band radar at the original temporal resolution of 5.3 s were averaged to 10 min for each month. The data period is Jan-March 2016-2018. BLTR Winds: Wind data from the Boundary Layer Tropospheric Radar at the original temporal resolution of 1 min were averaged to 10 min resolution. The data period is Jan-March of 2016, Dec 2016 and Jan-Feb of 2017. Parsivel2 DSD: Data from the Optical disdrometer Parsivel2 including: Rain rate, Z, DSD fields such as Nd field and Vd field and Raw at a temporal resolution of 1 min. The data period is Sep-Nov of 2017 and Jan-March of 2018. Raingauge: Data from a tipping bucket Rain gauge at a temporal resolution of 1 minute was accumulated during 10 minutes resulting in rainfall values every 10 minutes. The data starts in January of 2016 until March of 2018. Environmental/experimental conditions: The data was acquired in the IGP-LAMAR observatory located in the Mantaro Valley in the Central Andes of Peru. 7. People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission: IGP-LAMAR Observatory team bring support and maintenance to the radars and instruments. Processing, analysis and submission done by Steven Chavez. DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR: Ka-Band_Z_MM_YYYY.nc 1. Number of variables: 5 2. Variable List: Day: day of the month. Hour: hour of the day in UTC. Minute: minute of the hour. Range: vertical range of the ka-band radar, units meter. Z: reflectivity factor Z, units dBZ. For both radars the, first range bins seemed to be contaminated by ground clutter. Please avoid bins 1-4. ---- DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION FOR: BLTR_Winds_MM_YYYY.nc 1. Number of variables: 7 2.
