## Description: 

This collection contains data associated with a doctoral dissertation project examining 
spatiotemporal shorebird habitat suitability in the Sacramento Valley and at Sacramento 
National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Partners included Duke University, Point Blue 
Conservation Science, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

# Spring water extent

This directory contains a time series of spring water extent maps across the Sacramento 
Valley from 1983 to 2015. 

# Wetland water depth

This directory contains information about wetland units, digital elevation models mapped 
at 23 of the 24 wetlands, and water depth measurements collected at fixed point locations 
within the 24 wetlands.

# Water depth code

This directory contains example code used to generate water depth distributions using digital 
elevation models, in-situ water depth sensor measurements, and satellite-image based water 
extent maps. The code is extensible to other wetland units using data available in the other 
directories.
