METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION



1. Description of methods used for collection/generation of data:  A team of ~25 ENT trainees and clinicians searched policy documents called national health policies, strategies and plans (NHPSPs) for a predetermined list of terms related to ear and hearing care (EHC), as well as for non-EHC baseline terms (HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria) for comparison.  Documents are publicly available at https://extranet.who.int/countryplanningcycles/planning-cycle/AFG



2. Methods for processing the data: Data were compiled in an excel spreadsheet and eventually analyzed using IBM SPSS 27.0.1.0.

6. Describe any quality-assurance procedures performed on the data: Each NHPSP was queried by two people, which allowed for each to validate the other's data.
