Stewart, Ianne Fields

• An interview with Ianne Fields Stewart by Alyssa Gabbidon. Conducted October 10, 2021 via Zoom. Ianne Fields Stewart (she/her/they/them) is a Black, queer, transfeminine artist and activist. Based in New York, Stewart dedicates most of her time to interrupting the exclusivity of luxury through The Okra Project, founded in December of 2018. The Okra Project seeks to bring home-cooked meals to Black trans people and provide them with resources to live a healthy life. Additionally, Stewart is a member of the performing arts community and has been featured in several shows and performances that highlight the lives of queer youth.
