• An interview with Vhon Michael Tobes by Victoria Ely. Conducted October 29, 2021. Vhon Michael Tobes is a youth climate activist based in the Philippines. As director of Zero Hour Philippines, he operates in a country profoundly affected by climate change. He has endured climate-induced natural disasters such as typhoons and death threats from people who disagree with his activism. Using his writing as a tool for advocacy and inspiration sets Tobes apart from other activists, particularly due to the perspective of the Global South that he offers.
